Re: War Crimes Against Iranian People by IRGC
Knowing we arent going to help them is an awful feeling. Especially when we gave them this false hope. I voted Trump. But this is such a dropped ball.....

Re: War Crimes Against Iranian People by IRGC
Was reading about this revolutionary guard extremists the other day and how they're rooted deep into the Iranian economy as well. $$ You can kill or elect/replace their supreme leader, President, Guardian council or Assembly of experts, who, theoretically, choose/dismiss the supreme leader but in practice, it has never challenged the current supreme leader Ali Khamenei and functions largely as a loyal, conservative institution. But as long as the IRGC exists and their influence is deeply rooted into the economy etc. not much is going to change imo. Israel killed several top IRGC figures back in June so that weakened their structure, a bit, but they got replacements although they're considered less experienced but learn fast. Major General Mohammad Pakpour, appointed after Salami's death, being a former ground forces commander and a reliable hardliner. Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief being a Veteran commander (former Quds Force head in the 90's). Brigadier General Esmail Qaani being the successor to the late Qassem Soleimani and now Quds Force Commander doing external operations/proxy wars etc. Brigadier General Mohammad Karami being their ground force commander. Guardian Council Clerics: Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati being a longtime Secretary of the Council being in position since the 80s/90's and an ultra-hardliner, age 98+ ffs Mehdi Shabzendedar Jahromi. Mohammad-Reza Modarresi Yazdi. Ahmad Hosseini Khorasani. Alireza Arafi being a prominent hardline cleric, often mentioned as a potential future influential figure Ahmad Khatami and being a well-known conservative Friday prayer leader and staunch Khamenei loyalist. Leadership of the Assembly: Chairman: Ayatollah Mohammad-Ali Movahedi Kermani being a hardliner, ultra-conservative and close to Khamenei. First Deputy Chairman: Ayatollah Hashem Hosseini Bushehri. Second Deputy Chairman: Ayatollah Alireza Arafi being a prominent hardliner, also influential in Qom seminary and Guardian Council circles. Killing 13/14 of the above and you can maybe start some real revolution but Iran maintains very strict gun control laws and private firearm ownership is heavily restricted, with no constitutional right to bear arms. Only for hunting, sport shooting or to protect live stock in rural areas. The government has as of 2025 tightened these laws further, imposing harsher penalties for unlicensed possession and even criminalizing online promotion or sales of weapons because they're already sensed something brewing among the population. There still is a thriving underground black market though for firearms but mainly in the border areas and prices range from roughly $240 to over $2,000 depending on the weapon. |

Re: War Crimes Against Iranian People by IRGC
Well, what can I say!? Most of these/those sad things aren’t happy things. I suppose I could get angry and get my panties all in a wad but that takes too much energy. It’s not funny nor disgusting but I’d be more than *happy* |
