Re: Wal-Mart Bans Man For Life For Matching Ads

I go there so rarely. I was helping my niece get things for my oldest great niece and nephew.

I have to check for a bulletin board next time I go and see if they post the banned people

Re: Wal-Mart Bans Man For Life For Matching Ads

I was at Walmart the other day when a customer was yelling at a cashier about price matching. I guess the customer found an item on Walmart's website for a lower price than it was in the store. The woman wanted the store to match the online price, which they wouldn't. A manager was called over and said they couldn't do that. The manager said the customer could go online and order the item and pay that way and then she could get it at the online price and pick it up at the store. Which is ridiculous. She didn't need to yell at the manager or cashier though. They don't make the rules.

I've had two stores pull that on me. I kept bitching to the Walmart through e-mails about an order they lost. Have to check on it tomorrow.

Most of them will give you the online price, if you go to Guest Services and are polite about it. I never yell at the workers. I take it up with corporate.

Don't pay for it at the cashiers. Take it to Guest Services.

I also double ordered some things and will return the higher priced items that my niece really wants. It saves on stress and grey hair.

Everything about Walmart gives me the creeps. Just the smell of the store as I walk in makes me turn around and leave.

Wal-Mart is my entertainment. I go ahead & pick up a few things while I am people watching. Saw someone shoving extra diapers in one pack of pampers from another pack today. I gave them a thumbs up. :)

Re: Wal-Mart Bans Man For Life For Matching Ads

You'd love the online pickup area now, lol!

They cannot find items. One woman wanted to switch boxes on her large screen tv she was picking up so I switched it for her when no one was behind the counter.

I don't work there, but, heard a guy say she could do it. I take over situations when possible ;)

I can only stand seeing people with that stupid look on their face for a short time.

I don't get both walmart and target's policy about offering a product online, but, they are out of it online. Sometimes, you can have it shipped to your home, but, some items you can pick up in a store, if you can find it.

Their systems are not current. I found an item they were supposed to be out of and not an infant shirt they were supposed to have in the size I wanted
Yeah, anytime you go into Walmart you're going to see a lot of faces with a stupid look on them. As far as why they offer things online when they aren't in stock that is for a few reasons. One is so that you know they do carry it and you will hopefully check back later when it's back in stock. Two is that sometimes they allow a backorder on it.

If they are showing it as being in stock and you do the check out on it and it's not in stock after checkout they are hoping that since you have committed that far you will wait until it's back in stock to receive the delivery. Of course you will get the customary apologetic email about it not being in stock. It's very crooked but that's how it works.

I am an online retailer myself and know all of the tricks although I do not practice them and would never because I'm not that dishonest.

Also I sell on websites that buyers can leave feedback on. So you wouldn't get very far doing that before you were out of business. Can you imagine if people could leave feedback on Walmarts website what it would look like? LOL!
