Greece to Vote on Cuts After Riots Updated: Thursday, 30 Jun 2011, 8:06 AM CDT Published : Thursday, 30 Jun 2011, 8:06 AM CDT ATHENS, Greece (AP) - Greek lawmakers are set to pass a bill to implement more austerity measures demanded by creditors, following two days of rioting in Athens that left some 200 people injured. The vote is expected around 3 p.m. (1200GMT) today, on the day of a deadline set by European countries and the IMF, which had threatened to freeze installments of a rescue loan that is preventing Greece from going bankrupt. Yesterday, parliament approved the $40 billion austerity package lasting through 2015, leaving details of the cuts to be approved today.
