Vampires Cemetery's and Other Strangeness

Archaeologists in Bulgaria unearthed what they termed to be a 1,700-year-old “vampire” cemetery. This discovery, in the town of Deultum, began a firestorm of debates into the subject of the actual, physical existence of vampires. The sixteen sets of human remains that were disinterred from the cemetery had wooden stakes driven into the cardiopulmonary region, nails driven into the cranial cavity and were buried in reinforced caskets to prevent the subject from rising from the dead.

Similarly, in 2001, another team of archaeologists working in the Czech Republic excavated a 10th century cemetery for the undead. The fourteen corpses found here were also staked through the heart and had nails driven into the skull. Additionally, the bodies found at this particular site were nailed down to the inside of the coffin and had daggers driven into the mouth so that they could not drink blood.

As an aside, six members of a Romanian family were imprisoned in 2004 for digging up what they believed to be a vampire's body, so they could cut out the remains of the heart, cremate it and drink the ashes in a wine mixture.

Many cultures, although separated by both time and geographic boundaries share the belief in a species of undead that exhibit vampiric tendencies. Ancient cultures such as the Chinese, the Mayans, the Romans and the inhabitants of India all believed in creatures similar to vampires. Reports of vampire graves have also been found in Germany, Estonia, Louisiana (USA), Bulgaria, and the Czech Republic giving rise to the notion that the dead really have walked among the living.

While the modern subculture of vampirism is alive and well, perhaps their beliefs do rise from an ancient order that normal mortals fail to understand. I hope that in time, the truth will be revealed.

Vampire Fan Charged With Cemetery Rape

CENTRAL ISLIP-A man who allegedly lured underage girls to cemeteries via a vampire-related website has been indicted for rape and sodomy charges.

Eric Fischer, 23, of Sayville, allegedly met girls on vampirefreaks.com and arranged to meet them in Long Island cemeteries but the 13-year-old girl that he thought he would meet turned out to be an undercover cop with the Suffolk County police department.

Fischer is being held on $350,000 bail after pleading not guilty to 25 counts including rape, criminal sexual act, attempted dissemination of indecent materials to a minor and endangering the welfare of a child.

He had been previously arrested in March and charged with third degree rape for allegedly having sex with a 16-year old girl that he met through the website. In April, he allegedly lured a 13-year-old who was instead an undercover detective. Following an investigation, five other alleged victims were found ranging in age from 14 to 16.

The age of consent in New York is 17.

According to the indictment, Fischer used the screen name of xxmoonmelodyxx and allegedly sent explicit photos to an individual he thought was a 13-year-old girl for the purpose of inducing her to have sex with him.

The cemetery where he attempted to lure his victims is owned by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rockville Centre.

Pardubice, East Bohemia, July 11 (CTK) - Archaeologists have uncovered a 4000-year-old grave in Mikulovice, east Bohemia, with remains of what might have been considered a vampire at the time, Nova TV has reported.

The experts made the terrifying find within their research of a burial site from the Early Bronze Age.
One of the graves was situated somewhat aside. The skeleton in it bears traces of unusual treatment.
When buried, the dead man was weighed down with two big stones, one on his chest and the other on his head.

"Remains treated in this way are now considered as vampiric. The dead man's contemporaries were afraid that he might leave his grave and return to the world," Radko Sedlacek from the East Bohemia Museum said.

This is for the first time Czech archaeologists have uncovered a "vampire's" grave, Nova said.
In ancient times, people believed vampires are the dead who occasionally return among the living to harm their health or property.
