A man who tried to shoot a pastor during a service at a Pennsylvania church because “God told him to do it” was thwarted when his gun didn’t fire and he was tackled by a congregant, authorities said.

26-year-old Bernard Junior Polite saw demons but there appears to be a victim from Polite’s recent breakdown, as the body of 56-year-old Derek Polite was found at the residence of Bernard Polite, as police continue to investigate the matter.

“I’m thankful to God that I’m still here, because he definitely pulled the trigger,” Pastor Germany says.

“I was like, this is not happening,” he added. “I thank God because only God stopped and jammed this gun.”

Just knew it. He will have a full church next week.
