Re: US Launches Air Strikes on Syria Islamic State Militants
Same with any conflict we have "lost".. It's simply because we care about human rights and wouldn't go wipe countries off the map and commit genocide. Don't get me wrong, many innocent civilians have been killed but not intentionally. If we had the reason, we could wipe the middle east off the map.

Re: US Launches Air Strikes on Syria Islamic State Militants
Nothing odd really if your trying to hide the fact that America sold him the chemical weapons in the first place It was OK as long as Saddam stuck to using them on Kurds and Iran, where he went wrong was when he invaded Kuwait and threatened the oil supply. |

Re: US Launches Air Strikes on Syria Islamic State Militants
Saddam was accused of having an active weapons program, with thousands on tons of USABLE munitions. It's been common knowledge that old chemical shells were found since the early days of the war. Trying to justify the war by pointing out old forgotten munitions? |

Re: US Launches Air Strikes on Syria Islamic State Militants
I don't think the US taking down Saddam was a mistake. We should have done it during the Gulf War. He was one of the most brutal dictators of our time. Mistakes were made in Iraq for sure. Things might have been a lot easier for American forces if we anticipated the insurgency. If we would have used our assets to close down entry into Iraq and went directly after weapons caches belonging to Saddam. |

Re: US Launches Air Strikes on Syria Islamic State Militants
That makes zero sense rob. Everyone knew he had those weapons, those weapons were part of the United Nations involvement to disarm Saddam. Those weapons being hidden was a violation of the United Nations mandate to give up All weapons of mass destruction. And proves Saddam was in fact hiding his chemical weapons from the UN. Aren't you Canadian? Hasn't your government informed you guys that Canada received a huge shipment of yellowcake taken from Iraq. Over 500 metric tons of concentrated uranium from Iraq is sitting in your country. So there was weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. And Bush didn't lie. He just isn't like Obama, putting his own popularity above security. |
