Steven's-Johnson's can be caused by ANY medication. It's due to an allergic reaction. Some medicine dose pose a higher risk factor, such as Lamictal, but any med can cause it.
I've been on Lamictal for several years now and did some research on Steven's-Johnson's. I saw a lot of morgue photos. Some of the people looked like they'd been in boiling water.
It is scary stuff!

This is why my mother is afraid to take almost any medication. A BP med her doctor put her on years ago gave her vasculitis.
