Re: *update*Tanning Injections Killed Bride-to-Be, Despite Being Banned
Thanks for the update and extra info Angelahh I hate when 'latest news' articles are not entirely so. You think I'd like those tatts? Not on my tits!!! I don't want to look like I've been humped by a mutt!! That's the sort of ink Belle from 'Beauty and the Beast would have done. I'd have those animal print tatts in a tiny delicate pattern on my arm, my hamsters used to like clambering on them you see =) |

Re: *update*Tanning Injections Killed Bride-to-Be, Despite Being Banned
Guys have told me they only like the white parts anyway so why bother? I'm a very pale white woman who reflects sun if I step on a beach and practically glow in the dark, but, I have no lines or wrinkles and I'm closer to 60 than 50 like I once was. Got taken for 35 a few weeks ago so I'm good with that. No grey hair either, but, I don't smoke, drink or sun. The best solution is to avoid it as much as you can. I also appreciate the compliments on my soft skin. Apparently, all women do not have it. Take that for what it's worth Think also of all the Eastern Indian men we see with bad skin and who knows what growing on their faces from being in the sun and not washing. I tried melatonin capsules in the 80's or so, but, I turned orange, palms very dark first, but, I can do that with eating a bunch of carrots as well. It's easier and healthier to try to love yourself the way you are. If people don't like you, you don't need them! Sooner or later, whatever it is, it will be the, "fashionable thing," at some point ;) |

Re: *update*Tanning Injections Killed Bride-to-Be, Despite Being Banned
I'm super pale too. I tried tanning beds for a little while. I think I went about 5 times over 8 months. Didn't get a tan and I wasn't willing to go more often because of the risk of wrinkles and skin cancer. I guess I'll just have to be pale. I can't spend much time in the sun because I start to feel nauseous and get a headache. Oh, well. There are worse things than being the color of White-Out.

My goodness! There are a million things worse than being very white! Check out the medical section next time you feel bad being pale! I only went to a tanning salon a few times in 85 or so because I was going to Nashville, and the first day there was an outdoor celebrity softball game. I figured a base tan was better than frying on the first day. I got a couple of light freckles on my face and a red spot on the back of one of my legs, which I had biopsied and it was nothing. I also used Estee Lauder's self tanning cream and had a nice color, but, never again with the tanning bed or sun for me! |
