It has been confirmed to be real, Oswald2001 and CrunchyCripple.

I have added pictures, and just as Oswald and Crunchy said, in the mouth of a bigger fish.

I think so, too, but, I don't think I'd like my food looking back at me, or want to feed it to a child in my care!

Okay that is truly disgusting. Goddammit. What is safe to eat anymore??????????
I always check my food before I eat it, especially if it isn't made in the house, but, not even that is safe.

Keep your eyes and nose open before anything goes in your mouth!

Re: *Update* 'Strange Creature' Found in Tin of Tuna is Sent to Lab for Tests

According to Stuart Hine, Identification and Advisory Service manager, from the Natural History Museum, in London, it's the head of a Cymothoa_exigua (or similar), a tongue-eating parasite which associates with small fish that tuna eat.

Mystery tuna creature is tongue-eating parasite, says expert

In this photo it looks cute to me

It does look cute in a bizarre sort of way haha Ive heard about these creatures before; eventually they replace the tongue in the fish they parasitize (is that even a legit word lol); symbiotic relationship that works, it seems.

i found the FDA guidelines for 'filth' in food....there are limits set as to the amount 'per volume' that certain foods can contain of certain contaminates. for example, one i remember was mentioning the allowed limits for mold in bay leaves....another was the amount of 'insect filth' and rat hair allowed in flour.

a couple times when fishing with my dad, he'd find parasites in the fish (in the actual flesh too) and just remove them and cook the fish. used to piss me off and scare the shit outta me.

Re: *Update* 'Strange Creature' Found in Tin of Tuna is Sent to Lab for Tests

The creature is real, but the likelihood is that a scammer/shakedown artist put it in the can.

Plus, these creatures are found in a tuna's mouth.

I have never heard of other parts of a tuna's mouth teeth, jaw, eyes, etc. being found in a can of tuna before.

Anything is possible, I suppose.

For instance, for all you know, I may be Elvis Presley, but...
You are capable of intelligence wtf is going on here?

They even have their own fan base.
