A GIRL became pregnant in Mexico at the age of just EIGHT.
The girl, now nine and named only as Dafne, has just given birth to a baby girl in Jalisco state, Mexico.
The girl's dad is a lad of 17 - who the nine-year-old's mother says is missing after running away.
Jorge Villasenor, with the state prosecutors' office, said: "We are looking for the young man to get his story because she does not understand what has happened.
"This is a rape or child sex abuse case."


The baby was born on January 27 in Zoquipan Hospital, weighing 5.7lbs.
Mother and daughter have been released and are doing well, but due to Daphne's age the hospital said it would have to do extensive follow-up sessions.
Last year a 10-year-old girl in Colombia gave birth to a baby girl.
The girl - from the Colombian Wayuu tribe - appeared at a hospital when she was 39 weeks pregnant suffering contractions.
Giving birth at such a young age is said to be typical of Wayuu customs.

9-Year-Old Gives Birth By C-Section: Two shocking stories of child abuse surface in Mexico and China.

"9-Year-Old Gives Birth," is a headline shocking enough to grab our attention and get us scratching our heads over how the story might be scientifically possible. The young mother gave birth by Cesarean section at hospital in Mexico last month, ABC News reported.

While specifics are still scarce, we know that the new mother's name is Dafne and that the baby was born on January 27 at the Jalisco Hospital near Guadalajara, Mexico.

When a 9-year-old gives birth you can't expect an easy child birthing process. Instead, doctors performed a C-Section, and attending Dr. Enrique Rabago told ABC that the decision was "due to her young age and the fact that her body was not ready to give birth."

So how is it scientifically possible that a 9-year-old could give birth after getting pregnant at such a young age? UPI points to recent studies revealing that girls are reportedly beginning to menstruate at earlier ages. The news-site notes that the global average is 12 years old, but that among Hispanic woman the starting age is even lower. Many have suggested that this change is due to ingestion of hormones in genetically modified foods.

"Pregnancy can occur before a girl ever gets her first period, since the bleeding occurs at the end of the menstrual cycle after ovulation," UPI notes.

Dafne reportedly wasn't even aware she was pregnant until 7-month into the process, leaving her just two months for the 9-year-old to prepare to give birth.

"Her parents work all day and were not watching after her," Lino Ginzalez Corona told ABC, "and therefore didn't realize what was about to happen."

"9-year-old" gives birth may soon enter the record books. "According to a Wikipedia list of known biological mothers under 12, Dafne is the youngest person to give birth in the past three years," Gawker reports.

Once the 9-year-old girl gives birth the obvious question is who will care for the baby. That answer is still unclear, but the State Prosecutor's office has released a statement describing the nature of Dafne's relationship to the father as "loving."

"Due to her young age, we don't know if she's being entirely truthful," spokesperson Lino Ginzalez Corona told ABC. "She did not realize that she was pregnant until the seventh month."

Unfortunately for Dafne, soon after the 9-year-old gave birth the 17-year-old father disappeared. The new mother claims she was "dating" the teenager, but he has reportedly left town and State Prosecutor Jorge Villasenor has described their sexual relationship as "rap or child sex abuse."

"We are looking for the young man to get his story because she does not understand what happened," he added.

The "9-year-old gives birth" headline is popping up everywhere, and in an instance of insane coincidences a similar event took place in China just a few days ago, according to the Daily Mail. The unidentified girl was brought to a Chinese hospital at just 8-and-a-half months pregnant. Again, the child was delivered by C-section.

This girl was far too young to know what was happening or the consequences. Even if the teenager somehow convinced her what they were doing was ok and didn't use 'force' doesn't mean she understood or could truly consent to what was happening. This is like all those teenage girls who get pregnant, thinking that they love the boy and the boy loves them. Then they get pregnant and the boy takes off or avoids them. He doesn't love her, he never did. He wanted sex.

That is crazy! Hopefully they catch and throw him in onr those very nice Mexican jails. Interesting theory about the hormones put into genetically engineered foods. Just one more of fucked up things that might happen when you genetically engineer foods.
