Yep not smart. She must have really wanted him gone forever. I know this idea is out there, but I have this feeling maybe he was involved in kiddy stuff and she found out. I dunno, just a thought. Hopefully we learn more.

It is a big leap....just a random thought...absolutely no corroborating evidence to support it. Something really pissed her off. Or maybe she stood to inheret a bit of cash.

More likely money I'd say, which is stupid if she was going to get half anyway, but some people are really greedy. Foreign cultures can be a bit strange too though, and it may be something to do with honour and not wanting him to just escape her revenge and move on with his life when she feels he's wronged her.
