Education is such a serious topic over there that you just do not get disruptive pupils like you do in the west so large classes work well. The pressure to succeed is imense on these kids/young adults. You will find people with several high end degree's working in factories soldering iPhone components together 16 hours a day for 6-7 days a week. They often live in overcrowded dormatories and only get one holiday a year when it is virtually compulsory that you travel back to the village you hail from to see your family. maybe your husband/wife who works in a different part of the country and possibly the only time you will actually see your kids. It really is a different world, our freedom has made us comparitively lazy and greedy in their eyes |
