Re: Unarmed Man with Hands Up Shot Dead by Deputies
Using that standard of justification, anyone with a significant hearing impairment, and those who don't speak the same language as the arresting officers, are playing Russian Roulette anytime they may windup on the wrong side of the long arm of the law. Miscommunication, in any circumstance, should not result in you getting a bullet in your ass while your arms are already in the air. Shoot first, ask questions later is just not a good tactic, it's not worth the risk. There are plenty of other ways to incapacitate an unarmed suspect, especially if it's two against one. |

Re: Unarmed Man with Hands Up Shot Dead by Deputies
You guys need to chill. No one here was there so we have no idea what really happened right there. Griping about it wont help either. So split up or fuck eachother, I don't care. Attacking eachother on the bases of incomplete evidence is just idiotic.

Re: Unarmed Man with Hands Up Shot Dead by Deputies
I haven't put my two cents in but it looked like but hands were up, he was not being fully compliant, was unarmed, was not getting on the ground, was at a safe distance and not charging, and ran away at first. There's nothing you can say that I can think of that would make cops shoot while your hands are in the air at a safe distance. Unless there was a weaopon or other threat I can't see/hear/imagine, it was uncalled for. I was thinking 1. hearing imparied 2. off meds 3. you never know what the impetus was for the original attack assuming (as I do) he was the perp. |
