Re: UK Could Be A 'No Smoking Nation' By 2032
I wish it was here in the US now! I always believed it should only be allowed in private homes and cemetaries. I have respiratory issues and they stink! I hated coming home from clubs in the early morning hours and reeking. Had to wash my hair to go to sleep! Nasty! It and coffee give some people the worst breath! When I watch old tv shows and movies, everyone smoked and drank. Every house had a full bar and ashtrays all over! They all looked 20-20 years or so older than their stated ages. I was surprised when NY went non-smoking before NJ and PA, pleasantly so. If you smoke and don't have breathing problems, you won't get it. You get a nasty film on your car windows and walls in your house. The humidity is very bad, too, for some of us. I want to smack smokers when they are puffing away in the hot, humid weather. |

Re: UK Could Be A 'No Smoking Nation' By 2032
Sorry but smoking would never be banned in the UK for one simple reason.... The government accumulate far too much tax that goes towards other avenues in government plans... If they banned smoking etc, imagine how much tax they would lose out on per year... (googles smoking tax) Around £10 billion per year TAX goes to the government... would you ban it if you was getting that sort of revenue?
