I wonder how can you succeed a coup d'état like this by firing on/crushing/... civilians whom you normally want on your side against the governement? Despite those who are pro-Erdogan...

But if you have to kill all the pro-erdogan...with only 3000 guys? On the Turkish soil?
In addition i wonder if there is soldiers above the twenty's years old in the coup d'état troup, seeing from the picture here (and their feared expression) i'd say hardly
