Yes, I have heard the war stories about sudden failures of CF bicycle frames. The frames are popular due to their lightness, but I was never tempted. Just a few years ago, a local friend sacrificed to the Road Rash Gods when his CF forks went snap.

I heard another Youtuber was offered a ride in it as well but declined, I don't watch them but at least they made the right choice - honestly I don't know who would choose to even do something like this
