Tomislav Salopek - Captured by ISIS and Beheaded (supposely)
I am just wandering, are there any pictures or videos about this case, isis claims that they beheaded him, any infos on that? Reuters reported two days after he was taken that his car was stopped by militants while Salopek was traveling to work. In a brief statement, CGG said: “His car was stopped by an armed group who forced the driver to leave the car and then took off in an unknown direction.” General Geoscience (CGG) specializes in the exploration and production of gas and oil.  In the images released by ISIS, there are two photoshopped insets from Egyptian newspapers, one highlights Croatia's support for Egypt in the War on Terror, the other for Croatia's support of Kurdish rebels. The Independent reports that the Egyptian interior ministry have not yet confirmed Salopek's death and were working to confirm the authenticity of the photos. |

There is no evidence to disprove these claims. The decapitated head appears to be his. It is known that he was in the hands of IS affiliates, therefore the probability that he would be murdered was higher than 99%, statistically. I see no logical reason to disbelieve this. |

This is not Tomislav. I am from Croatia and our goverment and experts strongly denied authenticity of this photo.Also, they said it is very Photoshoped.A cousin of Tomislav also said it is certainly not him.So, I doubt of the origin of this photo.

i am also from Croatia, and i am 100% sure that Tomislav is alive, but there is one more thing, if you remember when video appeared, it might be recorded for example 20 days before we saw it, you can notice that decapitated head have longer hair, than Tomislav had on video message. i really think that he is still alive but...
