SHARONVILLE -- A Sharonville man was in court Wednesday on accusations that he sexually assaulted a neighbor's daughter over the weekend. Timothy Armstrong Police said Timothy Armstrong lured the 7-year-old girl Saturday into the Havershaw Drive home he shares with his mother on the pretense of playing with some pets. At some point, police said, the 43-year-old Armstrong ordered the girl to disrobe, made her watch a pornographic movie, forced her to perform a sex act on him and tried to rape her. "It's every parent's worst nightmare," said Lt. John Cook, of Sharonville police. Court records indicate that when the girl's mother came to the home looking for her, Armstrong ordered her to remain quiet and did not answer the door. He later told the girl's father that she might have been in the back yard playing with a dog, police said. "So he went around the back only to see Mr. Armstrong letting her out of the back door of the house," Cook said. Armstrong was arraigned on charges of kidnapping and rape of a child under 13, and he is being held on $2 million bond. Police said Armstrong has a lengthy list of prior drug and alcohol violations, and neighbors said he often went door to door asking for cigarettes and beer.   · |
