Timberview High School Active Shooter
Video 1 from inside a class. Video 2 supposed fight that made the guy start shooting. Will remove if it turns out to be fake. "Multiple people are wounded after a shooting Wednesday morning at Timberview High School in Arlington, police say. Mansfield ISD confirmed in a letter to parents that police are investigating an active shooter situation at the high school. Pretty sure this video is from a school shooting from last week were a 25 year old killed the principal. Correct me if wrong.

Timothy George Simpkins was taken into custody without incident, the Arlington Police Department tweeted. He was booked in the Arlington jail on three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was being held on $75,000 bail. One person was in critical condition, another was in good condition and a third person was treated for minor abrasions and was scheduled to be released from the hospital Wednesday afternoon, police said. A fourth person was hurt but did not require treatment at a hospital. Police said earlier that three of the four injured were students. The shooting at Timberview High School, which is in Arlington but belongs to the school district in neighboring Mansfield, stemmed from a fight that broke out in a classroom, Arlington Assistant Police Chief Kevin Kolbye said at a news conference before Simpkins' arrest. "This is not a random act of violence," he said. "This is not somebody attacking our school." The motivations of the alleged attacker in Wednesday’s Arlington school shooting remain unknown, but he apparently acted after a fight, and family members said he had been bullied. A woman who identified herself as Simpkins’ mother said he was bullied. But she declined to comment Wednesday afternoon outside Simpkins’ grandmother’s home in Arlington as law enforcement searched the residence. Cint Wheat, his cousin, wrote in a Facebook post, “At the end of the day my lil cousin was bullied. I don’t know to feel about this he not no bad kid.” Later in the evening, Carol Harrison Lafayette, who said she’s a family member speaking for the family, said at the house that Simpkins was robbed before the attack happened. “He was robbed,” she said. “It was recorded. It happened not just once, it happened twice. He was scared, he was afraid.” “There is no justification of anybody … being hurt,” she said, adding, “We have to take a look at the fact that bullying is real. And it takes us all. And I do apologize. We ask as a family for forgiveness of any type of hurt.” When asked at a news conference about bullying concerns some parents have voiced, Donald Williams, Mansfield ISD’s associate superintendent of communications, said that the district is conducting a full investigation of the shooting and its cause. “What I will say to that is we take the safety and security of our students in our faculty and staff seriously,” he said. Four people were injured — including a 15-year-old boy who was critically wounded, during the morning shooting. |
