Thief Swipes $92 in Hard-earned Dough from Girl Scout in Drive-by Cookie Stand Heist
Police are hunting a cookie monster who swiped a wad of dough from two Girl Scouts in a daring drive-by heist and sped off. Girl Scout Vanessa Bergeron, 7, a fellow Scout and Vanessa's mother, Missy, had set up a cookie stand outside a Palm Beach, Fla., shopping center Sunday night. It was Vanessa’s first time taking part in the annual Scout bake sale. The cookie crook parked near the stand, requested a box then asked for change, Missy Bergeron told local television station WPBF. "She took the money and was acting like she was going to go in her purse and she gassed the car and almost ran me over," Bergeron said. The baked goods bandit made off with $92. "To rob from two little girls like that you really have some issues," Bergeron said. The thief, described by local police as a woman in her 30s, was driving a maroon, four-door Honda sedan. Police are still seeking a suspect, but in the meantime a good Samaritan stepped in to make things right for Vanessa. Shopper Mike Davis and his wife, who heard about the theft, gave the young Girl Scout $100 to replace her swiped earnings. "We just thought it was so ridiculous that someone would do something like this to the Girl Scouts. We just felt like it was the right thing to do," Davis said. ljohnston@nydailynews.com |

I'm not surprised this happened the least. Times are tight so I'm not sure if I would of allowed my kid to sell cookies w/o supervision. Find this guy, whoop his ass then give him 30 yrs. The guys locked up are waiting for him.

Uh, you didn't read this very well, did you? It's a chick that robbed them. To comment on the thread: this doesn't surprise me in the least. Criminals are creatures of opportunity; moreover, they possess no conscience. Robbing these girls is no more than a day's work for them. That's why they're called antisocial (meaning, lacking conscience). |

No I didn't read all of it but I got the point: a little girl got robbed. This is an old story. I think I remember the chick that did this. She was kinda hot, here and her girlfriend. I would of bought that for $92. Two for $100   Still didn't read the whole story but now I know she wasn't a young woman so I take all that back. I'll buy it for a dollar |
