Re: Texas Passes Sonogram Requirement for Abortion

I think thats bull. Its their choice, the doctors shouldn't interfere if they want to kill them. We dont need more humans in the world.
I see it as cruel and unusual punishment for women who make the very difficult decision to abort. It's like throwing salt into a gaping wound. Why waste money, time, and inflict this kind of grief on a woman? Texas is full of shit in general.

We have all these anchor babies running around and their illegal mothers milking the system of everything, and Perry is worried about a 12 week or less old fetus and torturing the mother for making the decision to abort. What's wrong with the picture?

I think they should also make you sit in the waiting room and listen to a 15min long recording of a crying baby with a soiled diaper opened up in your lap after not getting any sleep the night before while you're waiting for the sonogram.

Equal time to both sides ...

I like that.
Show them the live human in their body before they murder it. Should have been done long ago.
In AZ, we have (or had) a similar bill in legislation, I believe it required doctors to show the mother pictures of the child no more than 24 hours before the abortion. I don't know if it was passed, vetoed, etc. but I too am for this. If the mother became pregnant because of her negligence, then she SHOULD be given the burden of seeing the child she is going to kill.

I'll tell you whats wrong with the picture! NOTHING!! If you become pregnatnt, 99% of the time, it's because A) you wanted to get pregnant, or B) You didn't feel the need to prevent a pregnancy. Abortion is NOT a form of birth control, and should only be available to those that unwillingly became pregnant. Of course, this is just my opinion.

Also, pregnancies with a VERY HIGH chance of severe abnormalities should be exempt from a law like this. The 16 year old high-school sluts that fuck the whole football team should see real time images/video of a living child inside of them right before the operation.

Freedom of Choice...

I do not agree with a mandatory sonogram prior to abortion. That directly fucks with our constitutional rights.

Now dont bash me. I have three kids and they are the best things that have ever happened to me, but I did have two situations where I was not ready mentally, financially or stable enough to have children. Pro choice!!

I am not going to bash you. We do have a right to speak how we feel.

I too became pregnant before I was ready. Still living with mom, not employed, young and certainly not stable. My son is now 9 years old and the best "mistake" I ever made.

Re: Texas Passes Sonogram Requirement for Abortion

mmm I take it your not pro-choice? Its like religion and politics and lately on this site pictures of a dead Osama! - everyone is going to have an opinion that not everyone agrees with. It is such a debatable topic, there is no easy yes and no answer, there are so many variables. People may think what they may do in such situations but unless you actually living that situation its impossible to really say what you may or may not do.
I have been in a situation where I was pregnant and did not want to be. I STILL believe abortion is murder. That view will not change. Ever.

I know what it's like to be pregnant, a single mom, and to struggle without stable support from the father. I also know how easy it would have been to drive to an abortion clinic and "get rid of it".

I also know what it is like to love something more than life itself, and know that eventhough I wasnt ready to be a mom that I am a pretty damn good one. :)

No, Im not bashing you either. I just have strong opinions.
