As someone who lives in the UK where firearms are highly illegal and opposed to them - this is actually a nice example why having the ability to carry one is a good thing.

This could have been an absolute mess if the churchgoers weren’t armed.

the perp wouldn't have been armed either, if this country wasn't awash in firearms.

The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. 38 states have mandatory shall issue laws. A permit to carry a pistol concealed must be issued to any citizen over the age of 21 without providing a reason.
