we all know these witness reports are often completely inaccurate. it's clear that in this case the police and district attorney were lacking to find more evidence to get a solid case. they offered him a plea deal and would have gotten free in maybe a year but then you have a criminal record. It's a way for prosecution to win the case because they knew it wouldn't probably hold in court. |

I just watched the video, and jesus. That guy? In Rikers? I can't attest personally since I've never been in prison, but my guess is that that poor fucker got abused in every possible way. And at sixteen? For three years? Sweet jesus. I'd probably try to kill myself too. |

fuck!! good on him for not taking the deal. 3 years inside for a 16 year old could have broken him. its not relevant but couldnt someone have organised a raffle or a gig? Im not sure of the rules in the states can you pay the bail at any point? Times are hard but 10K spread between a few people over 3 years. Couldnt some of the kids he was at the party with get part time jobs to help him out? I dont want to imagine what that kid went through. I just can't imagine having a family member or a mate in prison due to lack of bail money but he is still young, a large part of his childhood was robbed but at least he has his youth. Think of the people who did decades due to corruption and incompetence and only walked free in their 40's or 50's |

It doesn't sound like his parents gave a shit about him! Very sad! They only needed $1,000.00. The last I knew, it was 10% of the bail. It might take a couple of days, but, I'd get it! Poor kid!   |
