Re: Teacher Takes Banana Out of Trash, Makes 8 Year-old Eat It.
I get the garbage point…but my point is if she was trying to make a point about not being so wasteful, then maybe that's why she did it. We are a throw away society and it's ridiculous what we do throw out. I remember years ago at school I had a 'jubbly'. Basically a lump of ice in a triangle shaped packet (!) and I was stupid enough to be sucking on it in class. Teacher took if off me and threw it in the waste paper bin. My guess is that this teacher threw the banana in a waste paper bin, so it wasn't really nasty stuff in that bin!! Anyway, on the way out of the class I retrieved my jubbly, now only slightly melted, and took it to next class. Kids!!! |

What's the big freaking deal? It's not like she took it out of the toilet and force-fed the kid . Just because something has been labeled 'trash' does not mean the contents are toxic or unsanitary. I get why they fired her, but it's still bullshit. |
