It's good to see that our military hardware is being put to good use. Would be a real tragedy if it were just sitting around and doing nothing but collecting dust.

If the US wasn’t going to bring the inventory back, it should have been destroyed. Absolutely a clusterfuck, but it’s not all on just the current administration - several administrations are to blame for this debacle

Yes, it happened too fast to destroy all the equipment, and with their billions from the opium trade (AF is the largest exporter of it in the world) they will be able to buy a lot of what they want on the ever present international arms market.

They won't be able to maintain these aircraft and quite a bit of the equipment they obtained. Plus good luck getting spare parts and having expertise to keep these machine good to go for years on end. They will have zero access to OEM like Boeing for these machines on top of all that. People are blowing the left behind equipment way out of proportion.
