While that's technically true, do you really think the average person is aware of every fcc statute regarding cell phones? The vast majority of people assume no service=no connection whatsoever.

If you were using your brain you'd cut the semantics and note that one reporter asking a cop whom then asked another cop who wrote up the police report, 'what happened?', is not a word for word statement from the victim.

I know of two married couples who managed to workout their issues after infidelities came to light, and they formed stronger bonds because of it. They amaze me.
