I wonder if there has been a paper yet positing the theory that suicide bombers are the ultimate trolls. They can't get anyone to listen to their one-sided ignorant views so they just decide to fuck up everything. "If I can't change your mind, I'll just ruin your life. Free will be damned! I am right and you will suffer." I feel like there is something there.

I guess this is the legacy of the Chechnya war. Not saying I would approve these acts of terrorism. I have always thought that Russia is relatively safe place to be. Apparently Northern Caucasia is damn hot zone. Poor bastards attacking civilians.  |

Dont mix the meaning of good security with the level of red army style invasion measures Russia can put out. It isn't a safe country, they invaded a country which continues to spew forth terrorists which have pretty high success rates. |

trust me im not. Invasions have nothing to do with my comment. you have missed the point again. with regard to your "country which continues to spew forth terrorists" comment yes! a nation that has a 'terrorist group' made up entirely of widows of men who have been killed by the russian army. Sums up my point Look at what a mainstream 'western' journalist like luke harding went through in russia. To sugest the idea that 'security' is lax in russia is foolish. Its the oposite. In fact its the 'security' issue that makes me think some of the nations you mentioned should not have 'events'. Repression. when rio held the sumit in 1992 you had death squads killing homless kids. In qatar you have what amount to slave labour and hundreds of migrant workers being killed and as for russia, well its russia. Its not hiden from view. Trust me the rich will be just as safe in these contries as they always are during these events. Emergency vehicles were not allowed to use the 'olimpic lanes' during the london olimpics unless it was a emergancy. The suits from coca cola/mc d's could. dont worry so much |
