Re: Student Shoots Himself in the Head in Front of Classroom in Ohio
Absolutey! The only other one I have loaded and ready to go is a Glock 19, but the 23 has so much more power behind it. All the rifle's are kept in their locked cases. I figure if a 40 can't hurt you, you're a fucking god. I wish I could keep all of them in a nightstand or something, but I have a 10 year old. She doesn't like guns, but you never know if she gets a wild hair up her ass one day and decides to 'look' at them. |

Re: Student Shoots Himself in the Head in Front of Classroom in Ohio
true...the way my apartment is set up though, it's the safest for everybody if i store it like that. we're off the ground so the only way into the apartment is to bust down the front door. by they time you kick in the extra lock i added, that should be more then enough time to get unlocked and ready. it's better then having it loaded and out because of the kids, for me anyway. |

I keep a mag in, but the tube empty, unless something feels particularly shady. Rack the slide and she's good to go. Or the revolver...ahh the trusty revolver. Ready to go. at a moment notice. |

Re: Student Shoots Himself in the Head in Front of Classroom in Ohio
I live in the ghetto and own no guns. I don't understand how people live in really nice and safe areas and own so many weapons. I really don't... don't think I ever will, actually.

And yes I understand keeping them away from children. Certainly not advocating leaving live firearms sittin around, at least until they are old enough to learn.and.respect them. |
