Showing off his power in a series of strength tests, Yang gave father Zuyuan, who weighs 90kg (14st 1lb), a piggyback to the delight of neighbours in his village in Chuzhou, in China’s Anhui province.
Yang, whose dream is to be an Olympic champion weightlifter, first displayed his prowess for power aged just nine months – by lifting a 5kg oil drum into the air.

‘We were stunned,’ said his father, who puts his boy’s feats of strength down to his ‘good appetite’ – he eats three bowls of rice or noodles each meal time.
Yang joins an elite group of youngsters who belie their tender years by lifting incredible weights.
Brothers Giuliano and Claudiu Stroe, of Romania, started weightlifting aged two.
Now seven and five, they hold Guinness World Records for push-ups and hand-walking strength.
