Stolt Valor On Fire In The Arabian Gulf
(March 15, 2012) The Liberian-flagged motor vessel (MV) Stolt Valor is on fire in the Arabian Gulf. The guided-missile destroyer USS John Paul Jones (DDG 53) rescued 24 Filipino mariners from two Stolt Valor life rafts. John Paul Jones is assigned to Combined Maritime Forces' Commander, Task Force 152, conducting maritime security operations in the Arabian Gulf.  ·  ·

Good on the USS John Paul Jones and her crew for rescuing those sailors.  I just wish that it wasn't a tanker on fire...how many more environmental disasters like that go on without our knowledge? |
