I'm going to get flamed for this, but I did not respect this man and I'm not sad about his death. I feel pity for his family, but not him. I don't believe he was as much an genius as everyone likes to think, and he really wasn't that creative.

That's all I really got to say. The world got rid of another fraud & crook.

But aren't we all in some way or another. He played an instrumental role in creating a very cool vision - can't really take that away from him. Now I'm not "flaming" you, just curious as to the reasons behind the beef

He created visions, sure, but he also charged people outrageous amounts of recycling the same tech. He did the same things that the people who create and release Call of Duty do; release a product with a few new features, jack up price, repeat. Over and over.

And the fact that Apple became the richest company around doing that makes me mad, makes me sick. It's greedy. He was greedy, and people worship the guy.

Also, I never liked iTunes or their practices. In my opinion, Apple was always out to make money without really providing to their costumers.

He only made 8.4 billion dollars he made a living taking already invented tech and putting it together in diferent ways that made usefull nice looking products. People paid extra for the silver packaging. The ipad is changing the way we interact with synthesizers and DAWs. At the end of the day it's a business and he was popular and good at putting on marketing shows.

do you hate daimler benz too because they charge a premium for their products?
and ffs use ya brain even if you dont use apple products they kickstarted the mp3 player market shook the hell out of the portable computing and desktop market and re-invigorated the long dormant tablet market too

oh and pixar has made some good films

or would you prefer that apple was like motorola?

You're implying I care about MP3 players, computers, or tablets. I don't dislike Jobs or Apple for simply making a profit, everyone wants to make a profit. I just don't like the way they did it.
