Re: Stephen Hawking- Latest. There is No God or Heaven
Yea yea, i figured at least 2 people wouldnt like a peaceful answer to the debate over God's existence. Why in the fuck would you waste your time and energy calling believers stupid, or being condescending towards them. And so what if some one doesn't believe, don't try to cram Christianity down people's throats. Its bullshit man, forcing your beliefs on someone else. Even if you twisted their arm into joining your church or religion, or gave them a fucking guilt trip over them not believing in God, or even told them that they were gonna go to hell, they aren't gonna really believe. So both groups, the believers and non-believers, need to quit giving the other group so much shit about what they do. It's each group's own business what they believe.

Re: Stephen Hawking- Latest. There is No God or Heaven
Some people ask me, whats my view on religion and more importantly god. Well here's my view on god. I know a god exists without any doubt, and here is why. To me what we define as 'God' is best described as a creator, this is what most of us are taught to believe from a young age. God, a divine entity which created everything. Now whether 'God' is a man or woman on a cloud in space, or from a scientific point of view, a single sub atomic particle or string that suddenly created the known universe and everything in it, to me that one specific object is 'God', the creator, whether its a man, woman, spirit, thought or sub atomic particle or string or whatever. Even if for some wild example, the only object to ever exist was say, a 'banana', and one day that banana decided to explode and create the universe and everything in it, then to me that banana would be 'God', the creator. It doesn't matter to me what created that banana (As i know some people would say, "Well what about the objects creator?" ). What ever created the banana or whatever object you want to use in this example wouldn't be god to me. It would be gods, god, the creator of the creator. It's a bit like saying that Alexander Graham Bell created the telephone. You wouldn't commend Alexander Graham Bell's mother and father for his invention of creating the telephone. So do you see the relevance of what I'm saying. The next time any person asks you whether you believe in a god, you can quite happily say, yes i do. Shortly followed by the word bananas. So thats my view. |
