SPAIN | Two High Speed Trains Collide Killing 68+
TOLEDO, 28 OCT 2026 08:58 (UTC+1)— At least 68 people have been killed and dozens more injured after a high-speed Renfe train struck the rear of a stationary Iryo high-speed train in the Toledo province of central Spain and the death toll may rise further. A similar number of people remain hospitalized, including 15 in serious or critical state. The two trains with 544 people on board in total were traveling in the same direction on the high-speed line from the Spanish capital, Madrid, to Seville in the south-west of the country. |
