SpaceX Starship SN10 Explodes.
SpaceX Starship SN10 Lands Successfully and Explodes after 5 Mins. SpaceX’s latest Starship prototype landed on Wednesday for the first time after carrying out a high-altitude test flight in Texas — but exploded minutes later on its landing pad. Wait for it! SN10 took off at about 6:14 p.m. ET powered by three Raptor engines, reaching about 6 miles up. Next, each engine shut down one by one as the vehicle slowly began to orient itself horizontally for the descent. Then Starship began its descent in a belly flop using its four wings or flips, to control itself. The drop looks straight out of science-fiction even after the third time seeing it. |

Re: SpaceX Starship SN10 Explodes.
They said it was a fuel leak. In any case, it successfully passed all the tests, and landed perfectly. The explosion came a few minutes after engine shutdown, after it was successfully on the ground. They learn more each time. This type of landing would have been impossible even 10 years ago. |

Re: SpaceX Starship SN10 Explodes.
Spacex absolutely gets tax dollars. Spacex and all his other companies have received BILLIONS in tax subsidies, and continue to receive tax subsidies. "Musk’s companies – Tesla Motors, SpaceX, and SolarCity – have nevertheless received government loans, contracts, tax credits, and subsidies over the years. Musk’s empire can largely be credited to government subsidies at both the state and federal levels." - businessinsider Nevertheless, SAYING he is anti-subsidy. You have to remember who we're talking about here. The most hypocritical multi-billionaire in the world and that's saying something. He speaks out against taxes, yet takes billions in contracts and tax breaks, over all his companies including spacex. Here's a small bit: According to a Los Angeles Times investigation, Musk's companies had received an estimated $4.9 billion in government support by 2015, and they've gotten more since. SpaceX lands a $2.89 billion contract with NASA in April 2021. SpaceX signs a $653 million contract with the US Air Force in 2020. SpaceX receives $15 million from the state of Texas in 2014. also: Tesla accepts "certain payroll benefits" from the federal government's $600 billion 2020 pandemic stimulus. New York State put $750 million toward a SolarCity plant in Buffalo in 2016. As of 2015, Tesla had sold $517 million in environmental credits to competitors per a federal mandate. Tax credits for consumers also helped them sell more cars. SpaceX receives $15 million from the state of Texas in 2014 SolarCity receives $497.5 million in grants, in addition to tax credits, by 2015. The Energy Department loans Tesla $465 million in 2010. So check this out: --“For those wondering, I will pay over $11 billion in taxes this year,” Elon Musk tweeted Monday. (for 2021) - Stock options Musk was awarded in 2012 are set to expire in August next year. In order to exercise them, he has to pay income tax on the gain. - The Tesla and SpaceX chief has been sparring with prominent Democrats on Twitter lately over the issue of tax avoidance. --all from CNBC He's the first one to bitch about taxing the rich. Gee I wonder why. He paid no taxes in 2018. according to a report done by ProPublica. |
