There's about to be a lot of parents that aren't going to be able to give their children the therapy they need because the State has decided to cut funding to the Early Childhood Intervention programs. They are going to start excepting kids on a temporary basis IF they qualify under new guidelines that are still being drawn up and the parents only have until that 6 months is up to get a diagnosis from the Dr. The only problem with that is that in Texas, it can take up to 6 months just to go do the initial consult before testing.
