A leisurely drive from Cordova to Memphis quickly turned into something from the Wild Kingdom for a Collierville couple.
Rachel and Tony fisher were driving along Sam Cooper Highway when they noticed something pop it's head out of their engine and slither across their windshield.
"So it actually came from right here this where I saw the snake's head originally down kind of in that area and then it just started out of the engine," said Tony Fisher.
Tony who was in the passenger seat at the time grabbed his cell phone to get video of the snake, while his wife grabbed tightly to the steering wheel.
At the time they were going about 65 miles per hour.
At first Tony isn't even sure what kind of snake it was.
"There is a huge water moccasin in our car," Tony can be overheard saying on the video.
As it turns out the stowaway wasn't a water moccasin, but a very large non-poisonous rat snake.
Rachel who's driving isn't exactly sure what to do and becomes a bit alarmed when it moves over to her side.
"Nothing like that has every happened. Never in my life. Oh my gosh," Rachel can be heard saying on the video.

Even with snake on her side view mirror and some very excited kids in the back seat, she somehow manages to keep her eyes focused on the road.
"I'm looking and watching the road and looking and not believing what is happening," said Rachel.
Eventually the snake did fall off.
It was relief to the couple who weren't exactly sure how they were going to get it off their SUV.
At the time they didn't know if it was venomous or not.
But not everyone who has viewed the video has had a positive reaction to how the video ended.
"People are really worried about the snake and they have right to say that. I was kind of worried about it too," said Rachel.
Of course, it's hard to predict what you would do if you were in the driver's seat.
And Rachel says if can drive with a snake on the windshield she can probably handle just about anything behind the wheel.
"Oh yeah, I can handle anything. Just bring it on," said Rachel.
The Fisher's believe the snake came from a wooded area next to a driveway of relative's home where they had parked their car the night before.
