Re: Sinkhole Opens Up in Naples Following a Broken Water Pipe
Can't say exactly why, but this is funny to me. Even with all of mankind's incredible technological advancements, we're still foiled by a giant hole in the ground. |

Re: Sinkhole Opens Up in Naples Following a Broken Water Pipe
Hydrogeological risk is Italy's worst enemy: whenever it rains some disaster occurs, towns like Naples are almost entirely built over layers that the sooner or the later will collapse. There are more than 14,000 monuments at risk, here's a map of the areas with the highest potential hazards: Red = landslides hazards Blue = flooding hazards Green = snow avalanches hazards And spudigitti, it's not entirely wrong to say that the Mafia did it: the biggest part of the money supposed to be employed to increase the degree of safety ends inevitably in the hands of criminal organizations, no matter we call them Mafia, Camorra, 'Ndrangheta or Sacra Corona Unita: Italy will NEVER get rid of them, the cancer has invaded my Country, you have no idea how sad is for me to say all this... There are people who are still living in containers since the 1980 Irpinia earthquake, because politicians have stolen the money sent from Rome to rebuild their homes. Where the fuck we think we're going? |
