This man is the main reason why i've tried to flee from MY country after spending the half of my life abroad.
Germany, France, Spain, Portugal were used to LOL at us, and i couldn't defend my country because of this "man". Because there was NOTHING to defend, they were all right.
Corrupt, corrupter, liar, tax evader, midget, stupid, ignorant, the SHAME of Italy was this half-sized man, the only way he can get in touch with a woman is to pay before. Siiiiilvio, it's not nice to pay for having sex with an underage prostitute, you know?

Piero Longo, one of Mr Berlusconi’s lawyers, said they would appeal the conviction. If that is unsuccesful, Mr Berlusconi has recourse to a second appeal in front of Italy’s Supreme Court. Together they could drag the case out for years.

Pending the appeals, the billionaire businessman will not go to jail.

The many trials against Mr Berlusconi have an acute political dimension — for 20 years he has accused judges and magistrates of being tools of the centre-left opposition.

He and his supporters could withdraw backing from the fragile, four-month-old coalition government of Enrico Letta, the prime minister, in order to force new elections which he would have a fighting chance of winning.

That would enable him to bring in an immunity law or other measures which could shield him from this sentence and others that he faces, notably a four-year sentence for tax fraud in his Mediaset company which he is currently appealing.

The Supreme Court is to rule on that case later this year and could in theory send Mr Berlusconi to prison, though defendants in their seventies are rarely locked up in Italy.

He won't spend a single day in prison. In italy, you must do something very close to 9/11 if you really want to end up in jail.
However, the perm-ban would keep him far away from Montecitorio. Don't forget that the man owns three TV channels, he can orchestrate any propaganda that he wants. What matters is that according to italian laws, he has to stay away from politics, FOREVER.

That's no reason to feel too overly ashamed, at least no more so then people from any other country. His actions are deplorable, but the only difference between Berlusconi and many politicians the world-over, is he got caught with his pants down.
