Serial Killer Peter Tobin, 69, is Rushed to Hospital
Serial killer Peter Tobin, 69, is rushed to hospital after collapsing in prison with suspected stroke
Serial killer Peter Tobin has been rushed to hospital after collapsing in prison following a suspected stroke. The 69-year-old, who is currently serving three life sentences, reportedly collapsed in his cell at Edinburgh's Saughton Prison on Sunday. The killer, who has a history of missing court appearances through illness, was taken to the city's Royal Infirmary by ambulance after being found by prison staff. He was spotted being wheeled into the hospital by a medic and still handcuffed to a prison officer, according to the Scottish Sun. A source told the paper: 'He's feigned illness before but we can't take any chances.' The serial killer is serving a life sentence for raping and murdering Polish student Angelika Kluk, 23, and hiding her body under the floor of a Glasgow church in 2006. He has also been convicted of murdering 15-year-old schoolgirl Vicky Hamilton, of Redding, near Falkirk, in 1991, and 18-year-old Dinah McNicol in the same year. Their bodies were found 17 years later, buried in the garden of his former home in Margate, Kent. Today, Ms Hamilton’s father Michael, 65, said he hopes Tobin really has had a stroke. But he admitted he was sceptical and 'really doesn't believe' Tobin has had a stroke, due to a string of false sickness claims over the past few years. In 2012, it was reported that Tobin had run up medical bills of £15,000, including £200 on a special toilet seat after he claimed to have a bad back. That year, he was rushed to hospital under police escort, but medics found no evidence of a problem. The same year, he pretended to be dead in his prison cell. Two years earlier, the day before an appeal hearing, he was taken to hospital from Frankland Prison in Co Durham with stroke symptoms. His trial in 2009 for murdering Ms McNicol was also interrupted three times when he was taken out of Chelmsford Crown Court complaining of having chest pains and shingles. He had claimed to be suffering angina in October 2006 when detectives wanted to question him over Ms Kluk’s death. Tobin's court trials and appeals have cost the taxpayer £350,000, including adjourned hearings after the serial killer complained of chest pains. A spokesman for the Scottish Prison Service said: 'We can confirm that a 69-year-old prisoner from HMP Edinburgh was taken to hospital yesterday.' Tobin has been described as a psychopath by professor of criminology David Wilson. He wrote a book on the killer connecting Tobin with the Bible John murders of the late 1960s. Re: Serial Killer Peter Tobin, 69, is Rushed to Hospital
Typical narcissistic dickhead, even after everything he's done he still tries to make it about him, he loves and thrives off of the attention his sickness bouts afford. Well I hope the screws turn a blind eye next time and he really is ill. |

If they would leave him in his cell instead of rushing him to the hospital, he would finish one of those life sentences more quickly.
