Re: Scottish Girl Arrested for Wielding Axe and Blade
In March 2023, legislation came into force in Scotland via The Offensive Weapons Act 2019 (Commencement No. 3) (Scotland) Regulations 2023, which made it an offence to possess certain dangerous knives and prohibited offensive weapons in a private place, not just public places. This extended the scope of the law to cover possession within private residences, in addition to the existing provisions for public places. Then also the number of recorded offences gets higher as they weren't counted before that. Bet half of the knive crimes is because of rage due to alcohol/drugs and knive crimes in criminal (immigrant) gangs. |

Re: Scottish Girl Arrested for Wielding Axe and Blade
looks like the people on the other end of this story have now been charged too. from the BBC A man and woman have been charged over an incident that saw a 12-year-old girl allegedly brandishing weapons on a Dundee street. The girl was earlier charged with possessing offensive weapons in St Ann Lane, in the Lochee area of the city, on Saturday 23 August. Police Scotland said officers had made "extensive inquiries" into the incident and repeated pleas for people not to share misinformation on social media. It comes after footage was shared widely online, including by Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of X and Tesla who posted to his 225 million followers. Much of the speculation focused on the ethnicity and actions of people allegedly confronted by the girl. Police Scotland said the 12-year-old girl would be referred to the Scottish Children's Reporter Administration and the Procurator Fiscal. A force spokesperson added: "Members of the public are again urged not to share misinformation about this incident or speculate on the circumstances." below is a document that is allegedly evidence that the young girl was actually attacked, contradicting the initial police statement. the document is apparently some kind of hospital documentation stating a young girl with a head injury, accompanied by her mother, was treated at the hospital. i have not been able to confirm the legitimacy of this letter, but the police dont want us to be misinformed, so i share it here in the interest of full transparency, since the police have likely already proven themselves to be unreliable in this matter: |

Re: Scottish Girl Arrested for Wielding Axe and Blade
So they didn't find anything wrong with her (it doesn't say treated btw), but had to send a message to her GP to say she had presented to A&E for a supposed head injury/concussion. No notes for GP, no follow up, nothing. Discharged within 30 minutes. I wonder what the couple were charged for, but by sounds both sides have a very rough past with what they put out there on social media. I don't get why people are glamourizing a mentally unwell and violent girl either. |
