I'm a mental health clinician, I've worked in crisis services before with people who are danger to others, and I've worked in a state hospital with violent offenders. I see some comments about him being trans etc and someone mentioning about the people who present as patients at a psychiatric health facility often being trans... So here's the deal, the vast vast vast majority of people who are LGBTQ are not violent or known for violence, quite the opposite. Mental illness associated with violence tend to be some personality disorders, some presentations of ASD, IED, DMDD, trauma associated disorders, TBI, and for example schizoaffective disorder as some of the more common ones. When you see this young man dressed in feminine clothing you may think - trans, but don't be so quick. Identity disturbance is more likely what you're seeing, and identity disturbance can result from personality disorders as well as other combinations of disorders. It's true that many of the trans individuals who do end up in secure treatment settings due to being a danger to themselves have a personality disorder among other things ie Borderline PD, but consider that many never do end up in a psychiatric unit in their lifetime. Careful not to draw generalized conclusions about a whole group based on this, wait till more information is available.

I admire your courage to be yourself in this society, anyone making fun would be a fool. As someone who studied Gender Dysphoria a lot, I can assure you that Gender Dysphoria is not associated with violence on the part of the person suffering from it. The real reason this diagnosis is even used is to facilitate gender affirming treatment. This person who committed this act may not have been trans at all, despite the photo.
