Rest in Peace Johnnie Mae Young at 90 <3
January 14, 2014 WWE is saddened to learn of the passing of WWE Hall of Famer, Johnnie Mae Young. "There will never be another Mae Young," said WWE Chairman & CEO, Vince McMahon. "Her longevity in sports entertainment may never be matched, and I will forever be grateful for all of her contributions to the industry. On behalf of WWE, I extend our sincerest condolences to her family and friends." She was in hospice the last week or so and was removed from life support a few days ago. If you were a fan, you must see, "Lipstick & Dynamite!" Mae was born on March 12, 1923, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. She was one of a kind and got a kick out of the skits and storylines the past few years. Thanks for the memories, Mae Videos may be viewed here: http://www.wwe.com/videos/playlists/...-young-moments Stories here: http://search.wwe.com/search/all/Mae%20Young http://www.wwe.com/classics/mae-youn...ars-old-photos |

I hope I am half as feisty. Never met her, but, she did e-mail me back a couple of times on facebook. The movie I mentioned is hysterical. She was one of the first women in an all-male locker room. Someone asked her what it was like. She said she didn't see anything she never saw before and wasn't impressed by anything she did see anyway, or something like that, lol! |

Wrestling used to be good and fun! Now, it sucks and hurts my eyes. I only go to independent shows, and that is rarely anymore. In my opinion, although they brought it to new levels, Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage were the end of the fun times! Too many cartoon character-looking people, theatrics and pyro! |

I liked her affair with Mark Henry. She supposedly was pregnant, but, I forget what she delivered. She had a great attitude and really enjoyed herself as long as she could! Outlived life support for a couple of days. I was betting she'd make it to her next birthday |
