Aww sad; he suffered from acromegaly, or giantism, amazing he lived to such a great age. Wonder what the actual cause of his death was?

Re: Rest in Peace, Actor Richard Kiel, at 74

I thought he was black in that, "Twilight Zone," which was in black and white.

I finally looked him up when my brother told me he was in another show or movie.

I was wrong.

Oddly enough, I'm working my way through the Twilight Zone episodes on netflix now. I'll watch for him. Haven't noticed him so far. Almost through season 1. He would have to be young. TZ started in 1959. He would have had to be around 20 at that time. Goes to show you how fast life comes and goes!

The episode is called, "To Serve Man." He doesn't talk in it. It was filmed in 1962.

You hear a voice that is supposed to be so the Earthlings can understand him, or read his mind.

This will be him as seen in photo below, along with the promo.

The episode starts with a man narrating his story before entering a spaceship.

Awesome. So they do FINALLY get past episodes about guys being alone on planets, towns, etc. Almost the whole first season only concerns about 3 subjects. Suddenly being alone somewhere with no one around, time travel or alternate dimensions. It's getting old fast.

Oh, Hell, yes! I could recommend some of my favorites, if you wish. I think I've seen them all, but, they sometimes stick one in and catch me off guard. Some are boring, but, some are very cool!

A lot of bitchy wives and stressed out husbands in some!

There are some who wish to be in a better time and some schemers.

In no particular order, and I'm sure I will think of others later:

"A Stop At Willoughby," which stars the father of Tim and Tyne Daly, as the stressed out husband of the bitchy wife.

"Time Enough At Last"

"It's a Good Life", which was redone with Billy Mumy's daughter as the child and him as the adult in, "It's Still a Good Life." Caught that recently in color .

"Living Doll"

"Night Call"

"The Masks"

"People Are the Same All Over"

"Terror at 20,000 Feet"

"What You Need"

"The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street," is ok.

"Nightmare as a Child"

"The After Hours"

"The Howling Man"

"The Eye of the Beholder"

"Nick of Time"

"A Most Unusual Camera"

"A Penny For Your Thoughts"

"The Odyssey of Flight 33"

"Long Distance Call"

"Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up?"

"Walking Distance"

"The Four of Us Are Dying"

"Dead Man's Shoes"

"Kick the Can"

"A Piano in the House"

"The Dummy"

"Young Man's Fancy"

"The Little People"

"Printer's Devil"

"Miniature"

"Passage on the St. Anne"

"The New Exhibit"

"Ring a Ding Girl" (the lead actress is a bit annoying)

"Of Late I Think of Cliffordville"

"What's in the Box?"

"Stopover in a Quiet Town"

"The Bewitchin' Pool"

"The Fever" scared me as a child!

"The Shelter"

"The 16mm Shrine"

"The Rip Van Winkle Caper"

"The Night of the Meek"

These are my favorites, along with a few ok episodes. Some are more psychologically appealing than scary, but, it's amazing how Rod Serling used the shadows and dark and light to get his desired effect for each one.

If you find any you really like, please let me know. All are dependent on what you like to see in an episode.

Some leave us with a lesson to be learned.

How did that guy live to tell his story

They were already trying to fatten him up.

Yeah, some of them make you think. Like The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street. At the end, the aliens speak about if you take away people's' creature comforts, they will destroy themselves. HOW true that is. Just look at that blackout a few years back. In a matter of hours, it was chaos on the streets. Just imagine if food ran out!

When you get to, "The Shelter," you'll see some of that. People at their worst!

Just one of those we are a fly on the wall and he's telling us his story kinda deals. I can assure you he was served up medium-well with a choice of any two sides at their local ' Earth and Turf ' Fly-Thru window. Would you like Finger Fries with that
