A rarely seen phenomenon of a huge group dolphins, called a super-pod, overtaking whale watching boat off the coast of California.
Passengers on-board a tourist Whale Safari filmed the school of wild dolphins churning up the water as they sped past their boat off the coast of Dana Point, California.
Dolphins are social animals, using living in groups, pods, of up to a dozen individuals.
However, in places where there is an abundance of food, pods can merge temporarily, forming a superpod, which may exceed 1,000 dolphins.
