It looks like the first two 'incidents' weren't what caused the injury - if that video is indeed authentic. The third time(that the video showed, there could have been more) that the guy tried to get on stage he ran into John Campbell's bass while he was playing then got yanked back over the baracade by security and landed on his head. If that video is authentic and used as evidence i see no possible way that Randy or the band can be held liable. Even security was just doing their job - the kid jumped head-first into the bass player while he was trying to play for christ's sake! The fan was over-zealous and it's sad he died... no fault but his own, IMHO. |

The only - and fucking weak - argument i heard was buried somewhere in one of the articles or videos i saw while putting the thread together. Basically it was asserting that throughout the show he was gesturing and saying, 'Come on, Prague!.' to the audience.  He was doing the same front-man hype-up thing that damn near every lead singer does at a live show. He obviously wasn't inviting the entire city up on stage with him. To further demonstrate how fucking stupid that idea is... during the video only ONE dude - the guy that died - was jumping up on the stage where he was summarily shoved right back down in the crowd by either Randy or Security. He wasn't inviting anyone up on his god-damned stage! |
