Qatar To Get $500 Million Floating Resort
After winning the opportunity to host the FIFA World Cup in 2020, Quatar is aiming to promote itself as an exciting tourist destination with a series of innovative projects, some of which are underway: this is one of them. A semi-submerged, eco-friendly resort featuring four sprawling hotels with underwater rooms designed to look like superyachts is to be built in the Gulf Emirate state of Qatar... Striking: Amphibious 100 is a futuristic semi-aquatic development which Qatar plans to build, costing over £300million The 'jellyfish': Pods for guests will have four floors each and an underwater observatory and lounge area Sleek: The hotel's main buildings resemble enormous land-based yachts, in keeping with the designer's yacht design credentials A giant restaurant with views over the floating walkways and jelly fish suites stands out for miles...and rather resembles a space age sea anenome http://www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/ar...qua-rooms.html http://www.superyachts.com/luxury/qa...resort-843.htm http://www.giancarlozema.com/ |
