Genuinely heartbroken over this. Worst news. I have cried loads. This man was my childhood and youth, going into adulthood, and was, is, and always will be, the greatest.

That story about him being cured of epilepsy by an angel goes all the way back to the 80s though. I see what you're saying, but I don't think someone who wanted out would be thinking that way. He'd also refused to have his hips replaced, which doctors told him he needed, due to being a Jehovas Witness. I dunno, i just think it's too much of a coincidence, i read that blind gossip item last week, with it saying he would be dead before summer, then he dies.

At the same time...he is OUT.


There are many self-destructive practices.

They are all in reality suicidal and in nothing more than the service of getting one OUT.


There is something in the ego that wants to destroy each and every one of us.

The ego is very clever and often sets us up for decades ahead of time for self-fulfilling prophecies.

Our news is stating he was found in an elevator. Sad.

I saw him once when, "Little Red Corvette," was out.

Foul play is not suspected and there are no signs of trauma. Waiting for toxicology, which can take weeks.

I first heard his music when a friend dragged my very reluctant self to see Purple Rain when it was in theaters. I *really* didn't want to go as it wasn't my kind of thing, and I was more into horror movies and comedies. I was pretty much an instant fan while watching the movie and have loved his music ever since, although his removal of his music from LEGAL music streaming sites irked me.
