like i said, you can be as patriotic as you want, but stupidity is still stupidity.....and that really stood out for me when i read the story...

dont take it personally, it wasnt your fault as much as apartheid (which worked fine though not as well as extermination) wasnt my fault...it was just a fine example of why so many people around the world view the US the way they do....it was heavy handed blundering accompanied by more arrogance than thought

Given the intellectual arrogance and stubborn engineering efforts of the Third Reich - nothing surprises me, because:

- They had a great hand in designing the Volkswagen Beetle.

....an inexpensive reliable automobile that was produced around the globe, basically as designed, until at least the 1980s....? sounds like success to me.

- Research has shown their talent for attempting to create man-made literal flying saucer like craft.

the united states did exactly that as well, after WW2....

- W.B B's efforts with the V2 Rockets.

...the rocketry engineering advances that precipitated out of the V2 program was directly responsible for future space exploration around the globe.

- How easy it was to make a Nuclear Weapon of any low grade sort even by the mid 30's.

These examples can, in the wrong mind, uncross-referenced, lead to digging oneself a hole like Richard Dawkins

Universally condemned around the world, only stopped when the economic sanctions formed it.

The usa make a wartime mistake, South Africe deliberately threat blacks as second class citizens until the mid 70's I believe.
