Forgot about this psycho bitch lol, thanks for the link. It's not quite Netflix and Chill but definitely Chilling reading about the details or watching the documentaries. Its great finding extended coverage of cases I come across, bit like a good mystery movie racking my brain following the crumbs trying to solve it before everyone else. The most recent case I was glued to was Kenneka Jenkins that was found dead in a hotel freezer, oh and that 'Making a Murderer' doc too was a cracker |

Well, technically, serial killers are still operating left and right. Some are better at remaining undetected, but many are not. The Golden State Killer arrest was all over the news here in the US for a few days. Anyways, most (not all) "serial-killer" stories nowadays tend to fly under the radar. The mass media needs a bogeyman to keep the masses in perpetual fear, and they found better bogeymen in terrorists and school shooters. It seems to be working. Serial killers, while still feared and/or even idolized by some, tend to have select "victim types" whereas mass murderers kill indiscriminately and rake in a higher body count in a shorter period of time. As long as human nature stays the same and is not drastically altered by advanced technology, there will always be a vocal minority with a lust for murder and mayhem. Serial killers, school shooters, domestic terrorists, vicious drug lords, narcoterrorists, workplace shooters, rapists, grave-robbers, cop killers. None of those will just cease to exist anytime in the foreseeable future. But you can't live your life in fear either. Try to avoid trouble if you can, but don't give up your pursuit of happiness and fun just because psychopathic murderers exist somewhere in this big bad world. |
