i should correct my statement... we lived by the coast and had a tsunami warning which ended up raising the tide 2 inchs... all of which i found out through the communities tsunami evacutaion and information plan that had been set up. in that case, where most were watching the tv to see if they were needing to evacuate, my family was still safe without media. so there was a 'natural disaster' threat.... so my bad.

I honestly think the agent did a fine job. She kept moving the mother in position so she had a clear view of any inappropriate touching and was constantly talking to the little girl telling her what she was doing. The drug test was a little overboard. People instead need to direct their anger towards the Islamic sick bastards who will use women and children as human shields and pack explosives on them. |

i think the "drug test" might be a swab of your hands to test for chemical residue - they did it to my child, i asked what it was, they said people could use their child to pack explosives in a bag. i'm fine with it.

The drug test confuses me. I dont think it was a drug search because if it was they would have taken her to a room.

I don't have a problem with what happened here, and I'll explain why. The girl is six. As parents, they should have used this as a teaching experience and sat her down at home and explained to her what was going to happen and why it was going to happen. Every moment really-- for kids of this age especially has something in it that you can use to teach them about almost anything. There were many opportunities here for mom and dad to talk to their daughter about life and why we have to do certain things, even if they're somewhat unpleasant. At least it was a woman doing the pat-down.  I respect your decision though, Kanda. We drove many places with our kids when they weren't much older than this girl, mostly because of cost, and it was fun. We'd take our time and see the sights on the way to our destination. The kids loved it. |
